Uttranchal
Uttaranchal came into existence in the year 2000, after the division
of Uttar Pradesh into two parts and created a new state by the name
Uttaranchal. It is also known as Uttarakhand. The word Uttarakhand
is mentioned in Puranas, and this name was used for Indian Himalayas
having some most sacred places of Hindus. The natives of Uttaranchal
are Paharis. By calling themselves Paharis, they separate themselves
from rest of Indians. Tourisms is the major source of income of people
of Uttaranchal. Here people can see Corbett National Park and Tiger
Reserve along with many hill stations like Ranikhet, and Almora, where
they can come in direct contact with nature.
