Dumdama Lake – You will feel quite relaxed and refreshed visiting this attractive lake in Haryana. The lake is a few
kilometers away from Delhi. The Dumdama Lake is surrounded by the enchanting Aravalli Hills This site is popular for activities like rock climbing, paragliding, ballooning canoeing, kayaking and angling.

Surajkund --. Surajpal Tomar, a Rajput king formed the Surajkund Lake. Anually a Crafts fair is held in the month of February. It is very famous throughout the world. Tourists visit from different places to buy remarkable handicrafts and handlooms of Haryana.

Kurukshetra – This is considered to be one of the holy places of the Hindus. This place famous because of the battle fought between the Pandavas and the Kauravas. Lot of stories and incidents are related to this famous battlefield.

Panipat – This is also another famous historical battlefield. Three popular battles have been fought here. The grand
Mughal Empire came into being as an outcome of the first battle of Panipat..

Suraj Kund
Suraj Kund is an excursion option Gurgaon. It is ideal place for picnic situated in Haryana. Excellent boarding and loading facilities are available here. You may enjoy boating in the Rajhans- Water Lake or stroll in the gorgeous green gardens. The Surajkund Lake is just 20 kilometers from the heart of Delhi. Contrary to the popular belief, it is not a lake but a man-made reservoir. The name in Hindi means 'Reservoir of the Sun'. The Rajput King Surajpal built it in the pre-Sultanate days. The tentative date of its construction is believed to be around 10th century. The Tomaras were the first people to revitalize Delhi. Surajkund is the place where the Tomar Rajput settled before building the Lal Kot, the second city of Delhi

Surajkund got its name after a famous sun temple, which is said to stand here once. But some historians also claim that it was named after the King himself. The tank is on a semi-circular pattern and has steps that lead to the water. It is not a 'dead' reservoir; the rains still keep it pretty full of water. But apart from the monsoons, the place remains dry. Feroze Shah Tughlaq repaired its embankments in the fourteenth century. It is said that he was a lunatic and once took the work of repairing all the existing monuments in the then Delhi.

Karna Lake
The man-made Karnal Lake is situated on the National Highway No.1 near Karnal. Thelovely green stretch celebrates one of the protagonists of the epic Mahabharatha- Karna. It attracts several tourists with its guest rooms, greenery, and well-equipped conference hall. The lake and the birds add to the charm of the lake.

Kurukshetra
Another excursion destination from Grurgaon is Kurukshetra, the land where the Bhagwad Gita originated. Kurukshetra has several places of interest like Brahma Sarovar, Narkatari Temple, Banganga, Nab hi Kamal, Gurudwara Rajghat, Kurukshetra Library, and the Crocodile Sanctuary.
