The Brahma temple is the only one in India where Lord Brahma is worshiped.  The temple is situated at the one end of Sadar Bazaar. It has a distinct mark of red sphere and over the gateway is a swan, which is the vehicle of Brahma. An hour’s trek up the hill would take you to Saraswati Temple.

Saraswati is the goddess of knowledge and wisdom. 360 carved images and a towering “Gopuram” decorate the Rangaji Temple, most dominating of all temples. Other important temples are those dedicated to Badri, Narayan, Varha, Gayatri and Mahadev.

Pushkar Lake:
According to the legends, this picturesque lake was formed after a few lotus petals fell here from the hands of the Lord Brahma— the creator of the universe. There are 52
ghats (bathing platforms) surrounding the lake and numerous pilgrims arrive here for a dip in the lake on the auspicious occasion of Karthik Poornima.

It s a treat to watch the owners of these creatures adorn them and try to find the best possible price.

the statue of Lord Brahma inside in a seated position along with the image of Lord Vishnu, and Garuda pillars (a mythical bird, in gold). The surroundings of the temple are breathtakingly beautiful with hills all around.

Savitri Temple:
It is a magnificent temple dedicated to Goddess Savitri, the wife of Lord Brahma. Located on the beautiful Ratnagiri Hill, this temple also has mythological link. The legend states that Brahma for successful performance of Yagna, (rite) married a local milkmaid called Gayatri. When this came to the notice of Savitri (Brahma’s wife), she became infuriated and cursed Brahma and sacrificed her life at the Ratnagiri Hill.
