Agitators say the local populace has neither 10 bighas of continuous stretch of land, nor the financial capacity to buy it. The plan only allows basic commercial set-ups like a vegetable vendor, flour mills up to five horsepower etc, in the planning area in kasauli climate.

Agitators say that draft proposal is silent on the genuine development needs and demands of the local populace, and sounds more like a regulatory document encroaching on their fundamental rights. If the proposal is finalized by the government without giving any attention to the objections raised by the local population, the implementation of plan will brought the development of the area to a complete halt, say the agitators.
